Hello everyone!
I joined this group awhile ago.
My husband and I are Christians and our baby girl was baptised in May 09. We go to the 11:45am service at St. John's Cathedral on Garden Road on Sundays.

Hi Adeline,

Kowloon Union Church is a church in the protestant tradition (http://www.kuc.hk/). St Andrew's is Anglican. I have friends who attend both and can introduce you to some if you'd like.

Hi Hayley,

The churches on Garden Road should be St Joseph's (RC - the blue building) and St John's (Anglican cathedral).

There's a St Paul's (Anglican) on Glenealy in Central.

Many thanks again. Hi Ruth, I used to attend HK Baptist Church as well but had some hard time as all their services are in Chinese, and now bcoz of relocation in Kowloon area I am facing the same prob again, to find a church with English service, and yes, children program & sunday school is very important too.

Most of my friends go to ICA and Kowloon Baptist Church.
I am going to HK Baptist on Caine Road with my hubby.

To answer Hayley's question: We've been to several churches in Hong Kong at different times--for the most part all were good and our reason for discontinuation of attendance usually had more to do with location and practicality of getting to the service than anything else.

Right now we have been going to Island Evangelical Christian Church in Quarry Bay. We just went there to try it out on Easter Sunday and have been going now for about a month. It is very close to the Quarry Bay MTR exit and their children's program is really great--they have something for children from birth through college and an entire children's center.

Also, they have convenient service times and we prefer to go at 5 pm on Sundays as that fits our family schedule very well.

Here is there website: http://www.islandecc.hk/

There you can also listen to sermons and see if you are interested. Right now we're doing a series on the book of Ruth and so far it's been really interesting.

Union Church has a sister church in Jordan, on the corner of Cox's Rd. St Andrew's is another v.popular church - they're on Nathan Rd, between TST and Jordan.
